Janyne has her own human resource consultancy that helps organisations, connect their people with purpose and culture with competence. Janyne is accustomed to supporting regional communities to articulate and identify their capability needs. She has created many bespoke programmes to address the demand for development products that address both culture and competence.
Prior to becoming self-employed she was the Senior Advisor for Capability Development at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and a major contributor to the tribe’s Iwi capability strategy: a multiple tiered approach to building the right skills (whether they be personal, cultural, technical or behavioural) to support Iwi members at specific life stages. The strategy scales secondary school support right through the job life cycle to senior Governance development.
She is deputy chair of Mawhera Incorporation and has a Masters in Management degree endorsed in Human Resource Management. Janyne is a member of the International Coaching Federation and an accredited Gallup Strengths Finder coach. She hails from Arahura and lives in Christchurch with her husband Craig and three school age tamariki.
